Messi

Des de sempre he tingut molt clar quin era el meu equip de futbol. Estic segura que si algú m’ho hagués preguntat quan era petita li hagués contestat.. amb una d’aquestes cares que ho diuen tot... : Del Barça, clar!

Però la veritat és que des del Dream Team no havia estat tant forofa com ara.

I have always been sure of which my football team was. If someone had asked me when I was a child I would have answered at once: “Barça, of course!”. But, truth be told, since the “Dream Team” dissolved, I haven’t been that much of a hooligan … until now.

La meva nova afició va començar fa dos anys quan me’n vaig anar a “viure” una petita temporada a Londres.. buscava alguna cosa que em recordés a casa meva i vaig trobar que un grup de catalans que vivia allà es reunia a un bar genial per veure els partits del Barça. S’ha de dir que era al·lucinant estar a Londres envoltada de catalans en un petit vaixell al mig del Tamesis que es deia Bar&co tot menjant entrepans de pernil, bevent estrella i veient al Barça.

My new “hobby” started two years ago, when I lived in London for a short period of time.. I was looking for something that reminded me of home when I found a group of Catalans who lived there and met to watch the Barcelona matches. I must say it was amazing to be surrounded by Catalans in London, in a bar called Bar & Co, which was located in a small boat in the middle of the Thames.  We used to eat ham sandwiches, drink Estrella Damm and watch the Barça games.

El meu amigurumi d’aquest equip tant genial no podia ser d’algú més que del Messi. Francament per mi és el millor jugador... les coses que pot arribar a fer al camp són increïbles, canvia completament els partits i sempre deixa una mica del seu toc especial quan surt al camp. S’ha de dir que també li ajuda una mica a pujar al meu “ranking” ser un noi moreno i argentí.

My new amigurumi couldn’t be anyone but  Messi. Frankly, he is the best player in the world for me. The things that he can do on the field are amazing; he completely turns the matches around and always leaves some of his special touch. I should also say that his brown hair and the fact that he’s Argentinian helped him climb a few positions in my own ranking.

Aquest cap de setmana he acabat aquesta creació i me l’he emportat a fer una petita sessió fotogràfica amb el Dino, la mascota de la classe de la meva escola bressol, que aquest cap de setmana li ha tocat venir a casa meva. Hem estat dinant a la terrassa, tot observant la sagrada família i prenent el sol a les butaques.

I finished this creation last weekend and we went on a small photo shoot with Dino, the pet of my kindergarten class. Every weekend, Dino goes to a children’s house and today was my turn. We had lunch at the terrace, looking at the Sagrada Família and sunbathing on the deck chairs.

La sorpresa especial d’aquest amigurumi és que sota la equipació del barça, i per no desmerèixer la seva gran nacionalitat porta l’equipació d’argentina.. vaig pensar que seria un bon toc ja que ell sempre ha estat molt orgullós de la seva “pàtria” i crec que (en el meu cap tot és possible) si ell pogués veure aquest nino-homenatge li agradaria molt.

And finally, the special surprise of this amigurumi is that under the official Barça equipment he is also wearing the Argentine national clothes. I thought it would be a nice touch since he has always been very proud of his "homeland" and I wish (in my head everything is possible) that if he could see this “doll-tribute” he would be happy and proud.
