Fa poc va venir a sopar a casa el novio de la meva germana. Com que estem
en plena operació biquini em va fer una mica de pena que tot el que mengés, per
molt que estigués bo.. fossin plats a base de verdures i carn de règim... així
que vaig decidir fer un petit pastís per tal de
compensar les penes alimentàries...
A few weeks ago my sister's boyfriend came over for dinner. Since we are
in full “summer operation” almost all of our dishes where made of vegetables
and diet meat… so I decided to make a special treat for him and my sister...
He de dir que em vaig portar molt bé. Vaig fer el pastís i ni en vaig
menjar. Tot hi que he de confessar que no sóc molt dolça ni llaminera en aquest
sentit... em va costar bastant no posar el dit damunt la xocolata desfeta quan
estava preparant la buttercream.. mmm... de fet.. encara tinc una mica de
xocolata blanca a la nevera que em va sobrar i cada dia me la miro amb molta
cara de pena.. però he de aguantar!!! A part del pastís cal dir que el millor
de la velada va ser el vi.. i si.. el vaig provar.. com no ho havia de fer quan
me l’havien portat en el meu honor? Heu vist quin nom té? J gràcies!!!
I must say that I behaved: I made the cake but I didn’t even taste it.
I’m so proud of myself... ok, that’s not entirely true.. I dipped my finger in
the white chocolate while I was preparing the frosting… Apart from my cake, I must say that the best
of the evening was the wine... they just bought it in my honor… Have you seen
its name?
Fer un pastís per algú que no és el seu aniversari és una mica complicat..
més que res.. que .. quina temàtica fas? Jejeje.. vaig decidir preguntar a la
meva germana i ella em va donar grans idees.. complicades de fer.. però
imaginatives.. s’ha de dir. Al final em vaig decidir per la temàtica dels
galgos.. i és que.. a mi també m’agraden molt els gossos... sempre he viscut
amb algun animal de companyia i quan no en tinc sento que em falta una part de
mi.
Sometimes, when you have to make a cake for someone who isn’t
celebrating anything, finding the “theme” becomes difficult. I asked my sister
and she gave me two options: wine or greyhounds. I chose the most difficult to
make. Those magnificent dogs! I always had pets (a bird, a dog, a cat, a rat, a
rabbit, turtles, fishes, etc.) and now that I live without one I’m feeling
really strange, like there’s something missing in my home… or in myself.
El pastís és en forma de os. Està fet a base de pastís de iogurt de
maduixa, buttercream de xocolata blanca i melmelada de maduixa. La cobertura és
de fondant. Blanca per dalt, amb la bandera d’Andalusia al voltant i amb un
bonic galgo de fondant de gust de xocolata a dalt.
The cake is in the shape of a bone. It is made of strawberry yoghurt
cake, white chocolate buttercream and strawberry jam. The coverage is fondant:
white on top, with the flag of Andalucía all around and a beautiful greyhound
on the top.
